Bahá'í Secondary School, Tadong

Sikkim

Located on the scenic hill station of Tadong, near Gangtok in Sikkim, the Bahá'í Secondary School was established in 1975 for girls and boys, inspired by the Bahá'í ideals of education. It has, since then, endeavoured to create a healthy, disciplined and inspiring atmosphere for children to grow and develop, free from religious bigotry and fanaticism.

Affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE Delhi), the school curriculum includes a moral education programme designed to meet the needs of growing minds. Great stress is laid on the students' developing skills and capabilities vital to take on the role of moral leadership, and to contribute to the transformation of society.

"...education transforms the desert into a rose garden, the virgin forest into an orchard, saplings into trees, and single flowers into double and treble flowers..."
